A semi-rural traditional English country walled garden inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement. A conceptual design for keen gardeners to potter, read, relax and enjoy the vistas throughout the day from several peaceful seating areas, in either sun or shade.

Informal Suburban Garden
BECKENHAM | KENT
Regeneration to a small garden of a 1980s terraced house with limited access and limited budget. Sensitively transformed by planting design and refreshed landscaping elements, the layout has a strong asymmetrical geometry based on a series of intersecting circles to create curves that are repeated throughout the space, providing informality and the illusion of widening this narrow plot.

Contemporary Cottage Garden
BECKENHAM | KENT
A traditionally-inspired layout to bring structure, formality and cohesion to an expansive hedge-lined mature family garden. Designed to complement a substantial contemporary extension to this period property in a conservation area, symmetry is a key factor which is planned around a visual axis from the front door entrance, leading the eye through the hallway and living space, into the garden, and eventually resting on the water feature focal point.

Cottage Front Garden
CAPEL MANOR GARDENS | ENFIELD
A design concept for a double-fronted cottage in ‘Sunflower Street’ – one of several permanent show gardens set within 30-acre landscaped public gardens. The design combines both traditional and modern material solutions in response to front garden planning legislation, in particular, natural rainwater management and the environmental impact caused by excessive paving in front gardens.

Sculpture Garden
CAPEL MANOR GARDENS | ENFIELD
A large informal garden concept with sustainable credentials for an art college, set within a wider 30-acre landscaped public garden. The re-design of this expansive space divides into several areas including a café terrace and a wildlife pond with ergonomic seating deck, all focused around a sweeping lawn edged with generous curved planting beds.
